Currently Closed - Classes moved online due to CONVID - 19

With a heavy heart, we have made the decision to close our doors.

Thank you all for understanding as we have been navigating in these uncharted times. In order to protect the health of our Community and city we have made the difficult decision to proactively close our studio today until further notice.

This is a tough time for all of us. We encourage you all to continue to care for yourself and show your support for Namastuy and it's teachers by not cancelling your memberships (if you possibly can), joining our online classes or buying a gift card. We will honor and extend expiration dates of Class Packs and Memberships for the time we have been closed once we reopen. To get your individual extension, please email us, once we open our doors back up and things have returned to normal so we can make your extension manually.

We have launched daily ONLINE CLASSES so that we can continue to practice as a community and support our teachers. We'll be hosting Classes via Zoom that are free for all members or available via Drop-In for $10. It's free to make a Zoom account, it may also be helpful for you to download the Zoom app.

How does it work? You can register for class regularly via MindBody or our Free Namastuy App up to 30min before each class. Ten minutes before class begin you will get an email with a link and password to the class you have made reservations for. Online classes have been added to our schedule raster & we will continue to add more once we have demand.

Please also follow along via our Instagram Channel for updates, daily free Morning Meditations (10am EST) and our usual Free Community Class on Saturdays at 4pm.

'Unfolding'- New Art Exhibit Opening by Linzi Silvermann

UNFOLDING - by Linzi Silvermann

..is a series of mandalas which use natural elements in repeating patterns created through digital collage. Each mandala was made by Linzi Silverman of Eye of Astro, a Brooklyn-based artist and intuitive healer. The cross section of her creativity and spirituality birthed this body of work with the intention of meditation, the ability to find a depth within the space created as well as yourself.

Mandala is a Sanskrit word which means circle, and can refer to a symbol for the universe. Here, landscapes unfold to form new worlds and environments. There is an opening that always draws us back to the center. When we practice yoga or meditation, this is the same goal. We move, flow and unfold to return to our own center.

A portion of all sales will go to The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention hotline for LGBTQ youth. https://www.thetrevorproject.org/

Join us for the Opening Reception of Linzis Series
on Saturday 25th
5 - 8pm at Namastuy

This is a FREE CommUNITY event.

Meditation Foundations Workshop - with Jessica Angima

What is Meditation?

Meditation is the practice of replacing discursive thoughts with another object of attention. But take that jargon away and what you'll find is that meditation is the practice of coming home to yourself. This workshop will provide you with the building blocks to do just that.

During our time together we'll cover the benefits of meditation, what it looks and feels like and practical steps toward building a sustainable daily practice. This workshop is perfect for both those returning to a practice after some time away or those looking to jumpstart a meditative practice in 2020. Together, we'll join the mind and body in this present moment.

Investment: Early Bird $20, Same Day $30 / Members $25

'Feet on the Ground' Trauma-sensitive Workshop

with Emily Pantalone

9/14/2019 // 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Everyone has dealt with traumas - big and small - in their lives. These experiences live not only in the psychological memory, but within the nervous system, muscles, and connective tissue of the body itself. In this workshop we offer an embodied understanding of trauma-informed yoga as a complementary approach to healing, as well as principles and tools for self-regulation. Through practices, journaling, scientific inquiry, and discussion, we will cultivate understanding of how and why trauma affects the mind and body and build resilience to its symptoms in a safe, reflective space.

*If you are a yoga teacher, you will be eligible to receive YA continuing education credits for this 4-hr course.

This Workshop is taught by Emily Pantalone through 'Feet on the Ground'. Founded in 2016 by Samara Andrale and Emily Pantalone, 'Feet on the ground' supports individuals and communities affected by trauma in building resilience from within through the breath and movement of yoga.
